World Environment Day celebrated at Rumtek Monastery.
Rumtek Monastery celebrated the World Environment Day, led by His Eminence Goshir Gyaltsab Rinpoche. Rinpoche planted trees and shrubs along with other Rumtek monks.

The Grand Tsechu Puja concluded June 2nd, with monks performing the sacred, ritual lama dance. On June 3rd, His Eminence Gyaltsab Rinpoche performed the Red Crown Ceremony and bestowed the long-life empowerment to all the gatherings.

| In celebration of the Saga Dawa festival (Month of Buddha's Birth, Enlightenment and Parinirva day) from June 7th (full moon day) onward Rumtek will be performing 100 million mantra recitations of the Buddha Vajrasattva (Dorje Sempa) "OM BENZA SATO HUNG" by all the monks and lay communities. This particular puja is done every year during the Saga Dawa month. It is dedicated for World Peace and for Long-Life of His Holiness Dalai Lama and our Guru His Holiness the 17th Karmapa, Ogyen Thinlay Dorje.
